Well the hand sanitizer is a definite marker of 2020! I love the Santa lights, too! So few things with masks this year and that captures so much.
Was it thinking of masks that had you including the first photo or did something else about it strike you? I like the way they're in both light and shadow.
I considered doing 3 directly pandemic related pics, but decided to make it reflect my year and what I shot a bit more. I did realize they were masks when I was uploading them, just a different type of mask. I chose it because it's a striking shot, good for a first shot in a series, and was on a topic I'd shot a lot of this year.
Santa Clone shots are striking as well but it felt better to put it last, since it's an end-of-the-year shot.
Great photos! I like the variety of techniques as well as the subjects. I think it says a lot about 2020 that I only just now realized the Santas are wearing masks. Guess I'm so used to seeing masks everywhere now I only notice when they're missing!
Love the street art! The second one is ubiquitous these days. I love the Santas with their masks. A co-worker has a small stuffed bear on her desk that she put a mask on.
