Photos: Three for the Memories from 2025
Jan. 16th, 2026 10:10 pmThese are the three pictures I selected as most memorable (not the most aesthetically beautiful or technically ept) from 2025 for
threeforthememories.
South Lot and Savanna
May 13
The pink peony is open under the fly-through feeder. I might call this flower style semi-double. When fully open, a large mass of bright yellow stamens dance in the breeze. The fully-double white ones don't really show the center. It was the first time I got a pink peony to bloom. \o/

South Lot
June 2
Looking south, this is the north side of the new picnic table garden. I used a variety of containers on and around the picnic table to create this. It was a lot of work but very satisfying. Why build this when I have such a big yard? Because when a container gets weeds, I can just dump it at the end of the season and start with fresh soil next time.

Lights on the Prairie Part 1
December 26
This is one of the best pictures I got of the red-and-green lights in the trees when we visited the Lights on the Prairie holiday display. It was truly magical, as if the trees were filled with tiny fairies. They used a wallcrawler projector but aimed it up into the evergreen branches instead of at a wall.
