First photo is of a rare snowy Christmas in Georgia. I drove up to the mountains to enjoy the treat.

Second photo was taken at one of the many small towns I drove through on one of my rides. It was heartening to see small town Georgia promoting mask wearing and voting (there was even a Democrat election sign along the street).

Third photo is a rare selfie. I normally hate photos of myself, but I loved the waterfall in the background and felt it made a perfect selfie.

Looking through my photos for this post didn't take long. It's been a rough few years, and I haven't been out with my camera as much as I used to. I miss it and hope to remedy that in 2021.

I'd write more, but I'm having a devil's time getting this to post correctly. One of the reasons I'm not big on using DW for a photography platform.

I was wondering if you'd seen a change in your weather patterns. We've been in Illinois now for about 18 years and we're definitely seeing milder winters and much less snow. For example we've technically gotten snow about 10-12 times but it's such a light dusting that it's often gone by 10 AM and nothing has yet lasted past 24 hours.

Well hopefully baby steps but still steps!

Ah, of course. What you said just explained to me why someone else who has often complained about image posting here is also wrestling with it. I do all posts in HTML and haven't run into an issue but with phones in particular, Rich Text is a lot easier to do, and of course that's generally how people are taking and storing them as well, on phones. So it's apparently some bug on the Rich Text posting form.

I do think that the HTML issues affect participation on DW generally. I joined LJ at a time when knowing at least a few HTML codes were a must. But many younger fans don't use anything that doesn't have a dedicated app, much less something without a Rich Text interface. I always use the HTML tab but if your experience is common it certainly explains why posting can be a trial.
