First photo is of a rare snowy Christmas in Georgia. I drove up to the mountains to enjoy the treat.

Second photo was taken at one of the many small towns I drove through on one of my rides. It was heartening to see small town Georgia promoting mask wearing and voting (there was even a Democrat election sign along the street).

Third photo is a rare selfie. I normally hate photos of myself, but I loved the waterfall in the background and felt it made a perfect selfie.
Looking through my photos for this post didn't take long. It's been a rough few years, and I haven't been out with my camera as much as I used to. I miss it and hope to remedy that in 2021.
I'd write more, but I'm having a devil's time getting this to post correctly. One of the reasons I'm not big on using DW for a photography platform.

Ah, of course. What you said just explained to me why someone else who has often complained about image posting here is also wrestling with it. I do all posts in HTML and haven't run into an issue but with phones in particular, Rich Text is a lot easier to do, and of course that's generally how people are taking and storing them as well, on phones. So it's apparently some bug on the Rich Text posting form.

Date: 2021-01-25 02:21 am (UTC)I find html to be a pain in the a** for anything more than short simple things, because if I accidently type one little thing different/wrong it won't work and I have to go searching for what I need to correct. Just not my cup of tea, especially with my older eyes. But the Rich Text here at DW has always been buggy, making it necessary a lot of the time. It used to be worse though -- for a long time I was unable to do a cut at all with RT. I end up using a combo of both, switching between them when there's something I can't do in Rich Text. It's a pain.
Hmmm... could these kinds of issues be part of why fandom isn't big on DW? I'm not on Tumblr or Discord, so I have no idea what all is involved in formatting things there (well, technically I have a Tumblr account, but once in a blue moon do I ever visit it).
